Next up, that week, was the Bath High School Awards Ceremony where Amber was awarded a $1,500 scholarship by the Bath United Methodist Church for being an outstanding person. The names were not given to the church members so that to prevent a biased vote when reading the applications and reference letters. It is very exciting for Amber to have received this award.
The following weekend there was a baby shower for my cousin's girlfriend Kim, who is now with in 5 weeks of giving birth to a new little Warner. New little Warner's name is to be Peyton Lynn (a girl, of course!). We are very excited for this addition to our family!
Finally, there was a long Memorial Weekend, where we spent much of the time at the cabin in Harrison playing horseshoes, volleyball and riding bikes. We did take a road trip to Higgins Lake (to get ourselves excited for boating) and another little road trip out to the Leota site where many men and two women were camping for the weekend. It was really nice to have such a great weekend with family and friends. And of course watching the Wings smash Pittsburgh... Yes, we even had a Penguins fan in our crowd... Thanks to Rhonda!

| Memorial Weekend |
For the 1st day of June, we got to celebrate with family over Amber's graduation from Bath High School. At first Amber didn't want to be there, but after walking on stage and getting her "diploma" - you the real one gets mailed - she was all smiles. Bob was teary eyed more than normal, which was really cute. Come to find out later in the week why she didn't want to be there is that she was feeling ill and ended up going to the doctor to learn she had pneumonia. So her whole first week out of school has been spent in bed sleeping. Thankfully, her open house isn't until June 21st, so that gives her plenty of time to rest and get feeling better.

| Amber's Graduation |
This past weekend was frightening and exciting all at once. Friday night, a nasty storm blew threw the area and apparently a tornado was within a mile of my parent's home in St. Johns. Bob was busy with a family friend laying new carpet down in our apartment while this storm was going on. Of course we weren't really paying attention and realized after looking at our cell phones people were trying to call us all evening, apparently again, to see if we were alright. Thankfully, it stayed far enough away from my parents that no home damage was done, only a few trees were knocked down. We ended up taking a car ride up to SJ to see the damage and deliver gas to my parents for their generator. It was shocking to see how devastating this storm actually was. Thankfully, they got their electricity back at about 2-3pm Saturday afternoon. As for my Aunt Vanessa, their power came back on Saturday morning and she was able to finish preparing for my final bridal shower that she was throwing. It was a lovely shower with a tropical theme, which went very well with the hot, humid windy day we had. A lot of women showed up to whom I go to visit with. It was a very nice shower and I was definitely impressed. After the shower, we headed over to Bob and I's apartment for a pre-wedding party that my sister wanted to throw for us. We barbecued and relaxed and visited and even danced in the rain when it arrived around 9pm. Many guests left within a 1/2 hour or so of the monsoon beginning, but some close friends stayed and partied in the apartment while the rain continued it's mess outdoors. It was a fantastical night with our family and friends! Pictures will follow at some point for this past weekend.
