This is where we will start our first posting :)
For any of you that have heard or have attended this annual event, this is where you would have found us, with some fun friends on Saturday, August 4th. Our initial plan was to have a quiet weekend at home chillin' and getting some house work done. That all changed Tuesday night when Erik (Bob's cousin) & Sharre (wife) stopped out at the apartment. Next thing we knew, our weekend went from chores to wild party (this tends to happen quiet a bit to us...). We got some other people on board (Jason and Lesa... some other friends) and at the last minute, Loc decided to join in on the fun. Friday night after work we headed up, pulling our boat, to Bob's family cabin where we made our headquarters for weekend fun. We built a fire and the beer flowed like a golden river into our bellies. Little did we know that a "fire freeze" was on: meaning we were not supposed have a camp fire... oops.
Saturday morning rolls around and we have a bit of difficulty getting started. We got the boat loaded up (4 large coolers in all and little bit a liquor and a little bit of food in the boat cooler) and finally got on our way to the lake. We arrived at our parked destination directly in front of the Limber Lost about 5 boat rows off the docks. Loc knew the fella's in the pontoon next to us (a couple SJ graduates) so we tied up with them and the party started. My sister, Traci, called about 1pm to find out the night's plans and we demanded she visit us on our boat. By the time she arrived, Bud Bash was in full swing and there were, it seemed like, a million boats surrounding us. By 6pm, we ran out of the 210 or so beers that made it on to our boat. Knowing we had to drive the boat through the sharks (aka police), we hung out for a while, refreshed and sobered up on some old stale water we had left in the boat from the weekend before. (Check out the picture album)
We have all decided this is the only way experience Bud Bash: Lakeside!
